Fathers A Celebration

Fathers is a photographic celebration of men and their infant children. The fathers are from all walks of life-- friends, neighbors, and acquaintances of the artist-- who volunteered for the project although most of them had never posed professionally for the camera. The one thing they all have in common is a great feeling for their children and the willingness to express that feeling for the camera. No props and no clothing were used in order to keep the focus on the man and his child, resulting in photographs that have a timeless beauty, images that capture fleeting moments of grace and glee between fathers and their children. Sumptuously reproduced in doutone, these remarkable photographs capture the great joy fatherhood brings to men.

Every photograph is accompanied by a short text in which each man talks about what it means to him to be a father.
