Jim Smith Photography is a commercial, and Advertising studio located in the Hudson Valley, NY. We specialize in studio and location assignment work for business, industry, advertising and publishing. We create images for all of our clients specific needs. Millions of products are sold by the way people react to great photography. We create product shots for catalogs, food images for restaurants, architectural images reflecting a builder’s style, photo illustrations for books, aerials, model portfolios, artwork reproduction and web work.

We do all in-house pre production and post production digital work, all scanning, photo-shopping, image manipulation and digital prints from our state of the art printing services.

Ninety percent of a great photo is preplanning. When we receive a concept from the client our job is to breathe life into that idea. To create a great photo critical work is done behind the scenes before the shoot even begins. Great studio photos are not taken, they are built.
