Jim Smith has traveled the globe on many assignments and it is the Caribbean that has a special place in his heart. Whether it is high in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica photographing the coffee plantations, taking in Jamaica’s waterfalls or enjoying the sand between his toes while photographing an ad campaign on Barbados’ Walkers Beach, or any of Barbados’ beaches for that matter; Jim is at home on the islands of the Caribbean.
Jim Smith Photography has had the great pleasure to be on assignment in the paradise that is Barbados for such fine clients as the Crane Hotel, the Gems of Barbados Hotels and Almond Resorts. In Bermuda, Jim was asked to make photographs for the fine fix based flight operation that serves that chain of islands. On what Jim has called a chance of a lifetime, he spent weeks on the island of Jamaica photographing for the Jamaica Tourist Board (and there as a most appreciative guest) in a whirl wind tour of Jamaica in all it’s beauty.
